a new investment promotion initiative for Gujarat.
(This is a high level business matchmaking and direct investment promotion network operating in the state of Gujarat, Western India)
A committed team of local experts, including a number of former
top officials, technical, financial, managerial & marketing
experts working in active collaboration with iNDEXTb the investment
facilitation arm of the Govt. & the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce
& Industry (GCCI), is dedicated to this initiative. Strategic
alliances with leading financial advisory & investment banking
firms have been put in place.
The focal point is to strengthen Pvt. sector investment, including
existing units & project announcements by mobilizing resources
from India and Abroad to these companies based in Gujarat. The program
has been successfully initiated a few years ago & will enter
its demonstration phase from May 2002 to May 2004 with a selected
set of participants. Adequate steps are being taken for the long
term institutionalization of this program.
The program’s opportunity slate consists of models developed
for the state which include:

& Appraisal opportunities in development projects
Opportunities
for Pvt. equity funds.
Opportunities
for Strategic partner search
Strategic
alliances including product distribution in local markets or outsourcing
of products or R&D services from local
companies.

or Supplier Credit options.
